Food was up to snuff. Friendly enough people. Service was fast. Would come back to this place.

We all enjoyed our rice vermicelli noodle dishes with grilled lemongrass chicken and vegetables (me) and 49 satay beef and chicken with spring rolls that my other companions chose. I asked for my spring roll on the side - to feed the men - and I was accommodated with the proviso that they were not completely gluten free due to the soy sauce they used in cooking. That was okay for me and I appreciated the heads up on that. The food was tasty, hot and served quickly.
Our server was professional and attentive without intruding on our conversation. The food deserved 4 stars.
So saying, the actual restaurant is a dive, having a musty smell I associate with a bad roof and water damage. The washroom was clean enough on the fixtures but filthy in the corners. It looked like the floor may be washed on a monthly basis and not very thoroughly.
The main restaurant had that greasy film that covers a place after years of using the deep fryer without a comprehensive cleaning regimen for all the surfaces. So if you are feeling squeamish, or if you are of the opinion that attention to detail in the kitchen is demonstrated by cleanliness in other parts of the restaurant, you might want to give this place a miss.

Continuing with my business stay in Medicine Hat, I tried Ipho. I agree with other Yelpers that this is a hidden gem in Medicine Hat. The restaurant is located outside the city, not in downtown or the Dunmore commercial area.

The place is cozier inside than what it looks from outside. The only thing that made me feel uncomfortable was the smell,  it was like musty... eventually, after 5 minutes inside you don't feel it.

The food is pretty good and the prices fair. I've tried the wonton soup for appetizer and the Bulgogi Beef as an entrée. Both plates were good and you can sense that they just prepared it. The Bulgogi came with the different classic Korean pickles (radish, cabbage and bean sprouts). Definitely a great meal.

The service was prompt and respectful.

I think I would like to go back to try other things before I leave town.

Bánh mì is my favorite lunch. Usually I get the beef or house special. Great for a take away lunch.

I've had dinner twice, both meals did not disappoint. Some items are priced a bit high but I don't mind paying.

I want sure if I will like the food here but my husband and I decided to try the only Korean in Medicine Hat here.
We are here only for a few months.
The waitress was very nice and I had a pleasant conversation with her and found out she was in Vancouver BC for a while.
My husband ordered Pho and I ordered a Kimchi tofu soup with rice.
I thought the favour will be water down because a lot of people from Medicine Hat aren't familiar or used to spicy food.
However, I was surprised that the soup taste great and authentic like the ones we have in Korean part of Greater Vancouver area.
I can't speak for other dishes but the dish I ordered was good.
The space is neat and clean but it wasn't as new as I thought.
I was happy for the food!
It turned out the owner is Korean and married a Vietnamese lady.
    They opened this restaurant together.
    Definitely will come back again!
Too bad they don't have Korean BBQ here!
